What's the Melt 2 all about?
The first thing that stood out to me with the Melt 2 was how little movement it actually needs once it's sitting where it should.
You're not moving it around constantly trying to find the spot over and over again. Once the seal is there, it kind of just stays locked in.
And that's where this thing gets kind of ridiculous.
At one point I remember thinking "okay this is actually pretty nice" and then maybe a few seconds later suddenly having to pull it away for a second because the intensity escalated WAY faster than I was prepared for.
That genuinely caught me off guard the first time.
What took a little getting used to though is how much tiny positioning changes affect the whole experience. Move it slightly and it can suddenly feel either incredible or like almost nothing's happening at all.
The app side of it is actually pretty fun too. Giving someone else control changes the vibe in a way that feels way less gimmicky once you're actually using it with another person.
Getting everything connected the first time was mildly annoying though.
One of those moments where you're sitting there like "please just work already" while Bluetooth suddenly decides to develop a personality for no reason.
After that though, everything worked completely fine.
I also liked that it doesn't really get in the way during partner play. It's small enough that after a while you stop thinking about the toy itself much at all once things get going.
You can almost tell when the positioning shifts because the sound changes with it too. When the seal stays right, it's actually surprisingly quiet.
Nothing about it feels flimsy either. Charger snaps on easily, battery lasted long enough that I never once ended up checking it mid-use, and overall it just feels nicely made.
I also kinda like that it isn't trying to do absolutely everything. It's rather built for a specific kind of experience and just commits to that fully instead.
If you already know you like suction toys and want something that works really naturally during partner play, then the Melt 2 makes a lot of sense.
